ABOUT OUR LAB
We are plant physiology & biotechnology laboratory in Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University. We are actively working with important crops of Thailand including oil palm, cassava and lettuce. Our research theme is about understanding plant nutrient homeostasis including uptake, distribution and accumulation of essential macro & micro nutrients such as N, P, K, Cu, Zn, Mg, B that play significant roles in plant growth and development.
With the ultimate goal to improve the efficiency of fertilization utilization, we start from molecular study of protein transporters that responsible for taking up specific nutrients from environment in different stages of growth and develpment and environment challenges especially drought stress. Beginning with fundamental studies and the goal to apply knowledge for practical usage, these research will pave the way to uncover the fundamental of nutrient uptake in valued plants and lead to future application to improved efficiency of fertilizer application.
